Accessibility e-Learning


The Manitoba Accessibility Customer Service e-Learning program presents an interactive design for education and training under the Accessible Customer Service Standard. The goal of this training program is to give participants knowledge and information which they can apply to working with and serving people with disabilities.

Topics include

  • Introduction to the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (Bill 26)
  • What is accessibility?
  • Providing service to people with disabilities (or customer service concepts)
  • Understanding the types of disabilities
  • Learn about the role of service animals, support persons and assistive devices

Learning objectives

Upon completion of this training program participants will be able to:
  • Understand the requirements under the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (Bill 26).
  • Recognize the many types of disabilities and the challenges they pose.
  • Understand their role and the company’s role in providing accessible customer service.
  • Interact effectively with persons with disabilities in customer service situations.

Training program duration

Average time to complete the Manitoba Accessibility Customer Service e-Learning program is approximately 25 minutes. The Manitoba Accessibility Customer Service e-Learning program is self-paced. Participants may pause/leave the online training program at any time and can resume where they left off.

Target audience

Employees who work with or provide customer service to persons with disabilities within Manitoba’s public and private sectors that provide goods or services are required to take this training.
